ASD Teaching Assistant sought in Lewisham!
Are you a talented UK Graduate seeking to make an impact on learning as an ASD Teaching Assistant...?
Do you have the relevant experience and/or qualifications to be a major force in a 1:1 role...?
One of our lovely Lewisham-based Primary schools are looking to welcome in a new ASD Teaching Assistant who can play a key role in the academic development and in-school engagement of one of their students!
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Develop and prepare visual materials for therapy and classroom sessions
*Keep written records of pupil observations
*Encourage social engagement and monitor behaviour
*Liaise with parents and put together an EHCP
*Work under supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers
This ASD Teaching Assistant role will include extensive in house and external training, designed to further develop your SEN experience and knowledge, and there will be support and supervision from the SENCo. The pupil in question is in Year 4 and makes steady academic progress, but can be disruptive to other students and needs a 1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant to help him break down learning and manage his emotions healthily. Can you be that valuable support...?
If this sounds like a role you'd like to get involved in, contact Tom Stoten on 0208 004 1155 to be shortlisted for an immediate interview!
