SEN Teacher | Brent | January 2026
A welcoming specialist school in the London Borough of Brent is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join its Primary provision from January 2026 (or February half-term). This role involves teaching small, well-supported classes across Early Years to Year 2, working with pupils who present speech, language and communication needs, including autistic learners. You will be part of a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team, collaborating daily with skilled Teaching Assistants and on-site therapists to deliver a personalised curriculum that strengthens communication, confidence and academic progress.
Salary and benefits
- Salary from £36,500 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications, with Inner London weighting where applicable.
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Small classes, typically 6 to 9 pupils, with excellent adult support.
- Ongoing in-class support from experienced SEN TAs.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Primary lessons matched to individual learning profiles.
- Assess, track and report progress, contributing to annual reviews and EHCP outcomes.
- Write, review and adapt Individual Education Plans and personalised targets.
- Work in partnership with TAs, therapists and families to ensure consistent, joined-up support.
- Use calm, clear behaviour strategies that help every child access learning successfully.
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment where communication and independence grow daily.
About you
- QTS (or equivalent) and at least two years Primary teaching experience.
- Confident teaching across EYFS and/or KS1.
- Strong SEN experience, particularly autism and speech, language and communication needs.
- Warm, adaptable and creative, with excellent classroom practice and high expectations.
- A genuine team player who values collaboration with families and wider professionals.
