About the Lead Maths Practitioner role:

• Deliver outstanding Maths lessons across all key stages

• Take a leadership role within a 12-person Maths department

• Mentor and support Trainees and ECTs, fostering their professional growth

• Play a key part in developing and sharing exemplary teaching resources

• Set high standards for behaviour and classroom practice

• Collaborate closely with parents and carers to support student progress

• Focus on raising attainment and progress through a well-structured curriculum

• Drive a culture of excellence and innovation within the department

What we’re looking for in a Lead Maths Practitioner:

• 1:1 Maths-related degree from a top 20 UK university

• QTS and at least 3 years of Maths teaching experience

• Proven leadership skills and ability to support and mentor staff

• Strong classroom management and confidence supporting SEND students

• Creative, proactive, and adaptable approach to teaching

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A desire to progress to senior leadership positions
