Contract: Permanent, Full Time (Term Time Only)

Are you passionate about making a difference to children’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team, working closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Learning Support Assistant | Key responsibilities:
- Support children who face barriers to learning, such as dyslexia, disabilities or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Adapt curriculum materials and activities to meet diverse needs and ensure inclusive learning.
- Encourage independence and self-help skills in pupils.
- Promote positive behaviour and support emotional well-being.
- Facilitate communication for students with speech and language needs, using appropriate tools and strategies.
Learning Support Assistant | A typical day includes:
Reviewing support plans, working one-to-one and in groups, implementing tailored interventions, supporting classroom learning and personal care, and reflecting on students academic and personal progress.
Learning Support Assistant | Skills and qualities:
- Empathy, compassion and patience
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication
- Strong time management and organisation
- Good understanding of SEN and commitment to inclusive education
