Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant | Barking & Dagenham | September Start

Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant – key responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN, focusing on progress and attainment

• Work closely with teachers to follow and adapt the curriculum effectively

• Support students with ADHD and Autism, applying your specialist knowledge

• Assist in behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment

• Communicate effectively with parents and staff to support student development

• Act as a team player who is flexible and creative in approach

Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant – what we need from you:

• A 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK University

• Confidence and strength in managing challenging behaviour

• Previous experience supporting children, ideally in a school setting

• Desire to pursue a career in Psychology or further education

• Excellent communication skills and adaptability
