Director of Maths and Science – West London – January 2026 Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Maths and Science to join a dynamic secondary and sixth form setting in West London, starting January 2026.

This is a pivotal leadership role for an ambitious and strategic educator eager to shape the direction of Maths and Science across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will lead two high-performing departments, drive curriculum innovation, and ensure exceptional standards of teaching and learning that inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction across Maths and Science faculties

• Oversee curriculum design, assessment and quality assurance across KS4 and KS5

• Support, mentor and develop teaching staff to maintain high standards of delivery

• Analyse performance data to drive progress, attainment and targeted interventions

• Collaborate with senior leaders to embed a culture of excellence and innovation

• Contribute to whole-school leadership and development initiatives

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an outstanding practitioner and proven middle or senior leader

• Have a strong track record of improving outcomes in Maths or Science

• Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication and organisational skills

• Be passionate about curriculum innovation, staff development and student success

• Hold QTS and relevant experience within secondary or post-16 education
