Deputy Headteacher (Secondary) | Southwark | September 2026 Start
A secondary school in the Borough of Southwark is seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher from September 2026.
This is a permanent senior leadership position for an experienced leader with a strong track record in secondary education. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher to lead on whole-school priorities and maintain high standards across teaching, learning, behaviour and outcomes.
Deputy Headteacher – The Role

Support the strategic direction and daily running of the school

Lead on a key whole-school area (e.g. Teaching & Learning, Behaviour, Curriculum or Sixth Form)

Line manage Heads of Department and middle leaders

Oversee performance management and staff development

Contribute to school improvement planning and Ofsted readiness
