The role – Permanent English Teacher role

This English Teacher will deliver challenging, well-structured lessons, use assessment data to drive pupil progress and contribute to curriculum refinement. The successful English Teacher will foster analytical thinking, academic writing and a love of literature while maintaining consistently high expectations. Wider contribution to enrichment, including debating, reading programmes or theatre visits, is welcomed.

 

Applicants for this English Teacher role must:

  • Hold UK QTS or be completing a UK-recognised teacher training programme
  • Have a strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or higher from a reputable university (Russell Group desirable)
  • Demonstrate substantial UK classroom experience with evidence of measurable progress
  • Show confidence operating within established behaviour frameworks
  • Be legally entitled to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

 

Outer London MPS: £37,870–£50,474 (UPS up to £56,154).
