Are you a PE graduate ready to begin your teacher training in September?
A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is offering a salaried PE Trainee Teacher position from September. The school is particularly keen to appoint a trainee to support the delivery of girls’ PE and promote participation in sport across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This role is ideal for a graduate with a strong background in sport who is committed to training as a secondary PE teacher. You will work closely with experienced staff, gradually taking on responsibility for planning and leading lessons as part of a structured training programme.
PE Trainee Teacher – Key Responsibilities:
• Train to teach PE across KS3–KS4
• Support and lead girls’ PE lessons and extracurricular sport
• Plan and deliver practical lessons under mentor guidance
• Promote participation, teamwork and confidence in sport
• Engage fully with the school’s training and development programme
Person Specification:
• Degree in PE, Sports Science or a related subject
• Strong sporting background and practical ability
• Clear commitment to becoming a qualified PE teacher
• Confident, professional and able to lead practical sessions
