Are you a Physics ECT looking to begin your teaching career this September?
A well-regarded secondary school in Southwark is seeking a Physics ECT to join their Science department from September. This role is ideal for a trainee teacher completing their PGCE or teacher training this year and looking for a supportive school to complete their ECT induction.
You will be teaching Physics across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to observe and contribute to KS5 lessons as you develop your teaching practice. The department has a structured ECT programme in place and a strong focus on mentoring and professional development.
Physics ECT – Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Physics across KS3–KS4
• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons with support from experienced staff
• Assess pupil progress and provide clear feedback
• Develop classroom management and teaching practice through mentoring
• Participate fully in the school’s ECT induction programme
Person Specification:
• QTS (or on track to achieve QTS by September)
• Degree in Physics or a closely related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and willingness to learn
• Committed to developing as a classroom practitioner
