Starting your teaching career this September and looking for the right school to complete your ECT years?

A secondary school in Bromley is looking to appoint an English ECT to join their department in September. The school has a strong mentoring structure in place and takes pride in supporting new teachers as they develop their classroom practice.

The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, gaining experience with planning, marking and assessment while working alongside experienced colleagues in the department.

English ECT – What the role involves:

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4

• Planning lessons and assessing pupil progress

• Developing classroom management and teaching practice

• Taking part in the school’s ECT support programme

• Working closely with the English department

Person Specification:

• QTS (or on track to achieve it by September)

• Degree in English or a related subject

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Organised and keen to develop as a teacher
