PE Teacher – Hillingdon – September Start

A secondary school in Hillingdon is seeking to appoint a PE Teacher for a September start.

This is a high-achieving school with a strong reputation for both academic success and extracurricular sport. The leadership team places a real emphasis on developing the whole student, and sport plays a key role in school life. They are now looking for a PE Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons and contribute to a busy and successful PE department.

The PE Department

The PE department is a well-established and energetic team with a strong track record of success in both curriculum PE and extracurricular sport. Students take part in a broad and balanced PE curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to continue into GCSE and A Level PE.

Staff work closely together to plan schemes of work and share ideas, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible for all pupils. There is a strong focus on participation as well as performance, encouraging students of all abilities to take part and develop confidence in physical activity.

The department runs a wide range of after-school clubs and fixtures, with teams regularly competing in local and regional competitions. Teachers are encouraged to get involved in extracurricular sport and help support teams and events throughout the year.
