Job Description

We are working with a local authority for a Head of Housing Services to lead landlord and neighbourhood services within a local authority setting. This role will take responsibility for frontline housing operations, ensuring services are delivered effectively, meet regulatory requirements and respond to resident needs.

You will lead service delivery across housing management and resident involvement functions, providing direction to teams and supporting the delivery of housing priorities through effective performance management and operational oversight.

Salary - £550 per day

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and deliver landlord and neighbourhood services across housing operations.
• Ensure compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s consumer standards and relevant legislation.
• Drive improvements in resident satisfaction and service performance.
• Provide leadership to housing management and resident involvement teams.
• Oversee neighbourhood management, tenancy services and resident engagement functions.
• Embed continuous improvement across frontline housing services.
• Use performance data to inform service delivery and decision-making.
• Support delivery of housing priorities in line with organisational objectives
  
  

Skills and Experience

• Experience leading housing services within a local authority or registered provider.
• Strong knowledge of landlord services, neighbourhood management and resident involvement.
• Understanding of the Regulator of Social Housing’s consumer standards.
• Experience managing and leading housing teams.
• Ability to drive service improvement and performance.
• Experience using data to manage services and inform decisions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a complex environment.
