Head of MFL – Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MFL department as an outstanding Head of MFL
• As Head of MFL, ensure high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages
• Develop and implement a strong curriculum strategy as Head of MFL
• Use data effectively in your role as Head of MFL to raise attainment and progress
• Support, coach, and develop teaching staff within the department as Head of MFL
• Contribute to whole-school leadership initiatives in your capacity as Head of MFL

Head of MFL – The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at secondary level (KS3–KS5 desirable)
• Proven track record as a successful Head of MFL or aspiring Head of MFL
• Strong leadership and organisational skills required for a Head of MFL role
• Passion for delivering excellence in language education as a Head of MFL
• Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff as an effective Head of MFL
