About the Opportunity

A well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner to join a supportive Design & Technology department.

The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons
• Teaching key skills such as nutrition, food preparation, hygiene and safety
• Promoting creativity, independence and healthy lifestyles
• Monitoring student progress and supporting strong outcomes
• Contributing to curriculum development within the DT department

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
• Has a degree in Food Technology, Nutrition or a related subject
• Has strong subject knowledge and practical teaching skills
• Is passionate about teaching and learning
• Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
