About the Opportunity
A high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint a knowledgeable and engaging Politics Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Politics Teacher or a teacher of Humanities looking to specialise in Politics at KS5.
The Role
As a Politics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, primarily at Key Stage 5, with potential KS4 Humanities teaching depending on the timetable.
This Politics Teacher role includes:
- Teaching A-Level Politics (e.g. UK Government, US Politics, political ideologies)
- Encouraging critical thinking, debate and analysis
- Preparing students for A-Level examinations with strong outcomes
- Contributing to curriculum planning and development
- Supporting enrichment such as debate clubs, trips or guest speakers

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a Politics Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has a degree in Politics or a related subject
- Has experience teaching, or a strong interest in teaching, A-Level Politics
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and awareness of current affairs
- Can inspire and challenge high-achieving students
- Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
