About the Opportunity

A highly regarded secondary school in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Music Teacher to join a vibrant and well-supported Performing Arts department.


The Role

As a Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The successful Music Teacher will inspire students to develop musical skills, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Key responsibilities for this Music Teacher role include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons
  • Teaching GCSE and A-Level Music (where applicable)
  • Supporting instrumental and vocal development
  • Leading or supporting extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, or ensembles
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress
  • Contributing to concerts, performances, and school events

We are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and musical ability
  • Has a passion for music education and student engagement
  • Is willing to contribute to extracurricular music provision

This role is suitable for both an experienced Music Teacher and an Early Career Teacher.
