A well-established secondary school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join its successful English department from September 2026.
This is a great opportunity for an English Teacher who is passionate about literature and language, and who wants to work in a supportive school with strong leadership and clear expectations.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Teach English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for the right English Teacher)
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in both English Literature and Language
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations
- Contribute to curriculum planning within the English department
- Support whole-school literacy and reading initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
The successful English Teacher will have:
- QTS or ECT status
- A degree in English or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- The ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities
- A positive and collaborative approach as an English Teacher
