Science Teacher (Chemistry) | September 2026 | Barking and Dagenham

An Outstanding 11–18 mixed school with a thriving sixth form in Barking and Dagenham is seeking to appoint a talented Science Teacher (Chemistry specialism preferred) from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-performing and expanding department in a school recognised for excellence in all areas.

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3–KS5, with a particular focus on Chemistry. The successful Science Teacher will inspire curiosity, develop strong scientific understanding, and support students in achieving excellent outcomes.

The school is looking for a Science Teacher who will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across the curriculum
• Teach Chemistry to KS4 and ideally KS5
• Support students of all abilities to make strong progress
• Contribute to a collaborative and ambitious Science department
• Track and assess pupil progress effectively
• Engage with whole-school initiatives and professional development
