Are you a graduate looking to gain experience in education while supporting students in a secondary school setting?

This Teaching Assistant role would suit a graduate who is confident, patient, and interested in working closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

The position is based in a well-regarded secondary school in the Hillingdon area, where the successful applicant will work alongside an experienced Learning Support department. Staff provide clear guidance and support, and Teaching Assistants work closely with classroom teachers to help students access lessons and stay engaged with learning.

What the school can offer a Teaching Assistant:

  • Full-time experience working within a successful secondary school
  • The chance to work closely with teachers and SEND staff across different departments
  • Clear behaviour policies with support from senior staff
  • Ongoing training and support throughout the school year
  • Experience delivering small group interventions and one-to-one support
  • A supportive staff team with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing
  • Experience supporting students across a wide range of subjects

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

  • Hold strong A-Level results (or equivalent) and a degree qualification
  • Be confident working with secondary-aged pupils in and out of the classroom
  • Communicate well with students, staff, and parents
  • Be organised, dependable, and willing to take initiative
  • Have an interest in education, teaching, or child development careers

The role offers weekly pay of £470–£530 and provides valuable experience working in a secondary school setting. It is well suited to graduates looking to begin work in September and gain experience before progressing into teaching, psychology, or other education-related careers.
