EYFS Teaching Assistant | Chingford | September 2026 Start

£444–£513 per week via PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay) | Full-time, term-time only | Long-term contract until July 2027

A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Chingford is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant from September 2026. This opportunity is particularly well suited to a graduate with prior EYFS experience looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teacher training or wider child development roles. The school is recognised for its strong Early Years provision, inclusive ethos and carefully structured approach to early learning.

Children within Nursery and Reception benefit from a curriculum centred around communication, language development, phonics and early mathematical understanding. Early Years outcomes remain consistently strong, with a high proportion of pupils meeting expected developmental milestones by the end of Reception. What the role involves:
• Supporting Nursery and Reception pupils across daily EYFS provision
• Delivering targeted phonics, literacy and communication interventions
• Assisting with structured play-based learning activities
• Supporting children with SEND and speech and language needs
• Contributing to observations and monitoring pupil progress
