SEMH Teaching Assistant - What the Role Involves

- Supporting pupils to regulate, engage positively with school life, and access the curriculum with confidence
- Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and wellbeing, feeding back to teachers and the pastoral team
- Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and the wider multi-disciplinary team
SEMH Teaching Assistant - What the School is Looking For
The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Previous child-centred experience, particularly with young people with SEMH needs in a UK school or educational setting, is highly valued. The school is seeking a calm, resilient, and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine vocation for supporting vulnerable young people.

SEMH Teaching Assistant - Salary and Contract Info
- £444 per week, pro rata to term time only
- Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
- Term-time only
