Aspiring Educational Psychologist | Waltham Forest | September 2026 Start

Are you a Psychology graduate considering a future in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or wider NHS-based services? A highly inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking an Aspiring Educational Psychologist to join from September 2026 on a full-time basis until July 2027.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain first-hand experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and speech and language difficulties. The school has invested heavily in early intervention and inclusive practice, with over 20% of pupils receiving some form of additional support throughout the academic year. Staff work closely with external professionals including Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists and CAMHS practitioners to ensure pupils receive tailored support.

The Role

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, assist with emotional regulation strategies and help students access learning successfully. You will also work alongside teaching staff and inclusion teams to implement support plans and monitor pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate

• Russell Group graduate with a 2:1 or above in Psychology or a related discipline
• Previous child-centred experience through mentoring, tutoring or care-based work
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
• A genuine interest in child development and SEND support
