ASD Support Assistant | Waltham Forest | September 2026 

An ambitious secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking an experienced ASD Support Assistant to join its inclusion team from September 2026 on a full-time basis until July 2027. This opportunity is particularly suited to support professionals who have a strong understanding of Autism and are passionate about helping young people achieve success within a mainstream secondary setting.

ASD Support Assistant – What the School Offers

• £444–£513 per week via PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
• Full academic year contract until July 2027 with potential extension

The Role

You will work closely with students with Autism across KS3 and KS4, providing support within lessons, structured intervention sessions and social development programmes. You will help students develop independence, communication skills and confidence while ensuring they remain fully engaged with learning.

• Has proven experience supporting children or young people with Autism
• Possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Understands how to implement effective strategies to support engagement and learning
• Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education
