French Academic Mentor - What the School is Looking For

The ideal French Academic Mentor will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university in French, Modern Languages, or a closely related discipline - a UK-awarded bachelor's degree is essential for this role. Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a fluent, patient, and enthusiastic French Academic Mentor with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for French language and culture.

 

Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates without a UK-awarded bachelor's degree will not be considered.

 

French Academic Mentor - Salary and Contract Info

  • £550 to £600 per week, pro rata to term time only
  • Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
  • Term-time only
  • Potential for extended contracts or teacher training pathways following a successful placement
