A high-performing secondary school in Hackney is seeking an ambitious Science Teacher to join its successful Science department from September 2026 on a full-time contract until July 2027, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful placement.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach your specialism at KS5 depending on experience. You will plan and deliver practical investigations, use assessment data to drive pupil progress and contribute to intervention programmes that support students preparing for GCSE examinations. You will also play an active role in the department's STEM enrichment programme and wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds UK QTS and a Science-related degree
  • Confident teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
  • Passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment across all ability levels
