Ribbons & Reeves are supporting a warm, community‑focused school seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their inclusive, child‑centred support team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant who thrives in a positive, structured environment and is eager to help young learners build confidence, independence and a love for learning.

About the School (Braintree)

  • Supportive, Caring Culture — A calm, safe environment where pupils and staff feel valued and respected.

  • Clear Routines & Consistent Systems — Structures that allow a Learning Support Assistant to focus on meaningful support rather than behaviour management.

  • Inclusive Values & Community Ethos — Kindness, resilience and responsibility underpin the school’s approach, enabling you to make a genuine impact.

  • Broad Curriculum & Enrichment — A vibrant, creative curriculum that encourages curiosity, independence and enjoyment.

  • Professional Growth — Ideal for someone seeking long‑term development, with opportunities to progress into SEN support, HLTA roles or teacher training.

The Role - As a Primary Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

  • Help children access learning through tailored scaffolding and adapted resources

  • Support emotional regulation, confidence and positive engagement

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO and pastoral staff

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

This role requires someone calm, patient, proactive and able to adapt quickly to changing needs.

The Ideal Primary Learning Support Assistant

  • Warm, nurturing and passionate about supporting young learners

  • An excellent communicator who builds rapport quickly

  • Reflective, resilient and eager to grow professionally

  • Adaptable in a busy primary environment

  • Motivated to make a long‑term impact on children’s development
