Early Years Teaching Assistant | Croydon
Are you an enthusiastic and caring graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to build a long-term career in Education or Teaching? A welcoming and ambitious school in Croydon is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception and Year 1 team from September, initially until July 2027.
This role requires someone with a genuine passion for working with young children and the energy to thrive in a busy classroom. The children are lively and, at times, may become emotionally dysregulated, so you must remain calm, patient and positive.

What You Need to Have:
- Previous experience working with Reception, Year 1 or Early Years children is highly desirable
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
- The patience and emotional intelligence to support children who may become emotionally dysregulated
- A calm, positive and energetic approach
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Early Years Teaching Assistant | The Role:
- Provide classroom, small-group and 1:1 support across Reception and Year 1
- Support children's learning, social development and emotional wellbeing
- Help children develop positive routines and regulate their emotions
- Work closely with teachers and the wider support team
- September start | Full-time | Initially until July 2027
