Are you a Maths Graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 degree looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing teacher training?
We are seeking a Maths Graduate / Maths Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Epping on a temporary basis, starting ASAP.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths Graduate / Maths Teaching Assistant with strong academics who is considering a career in secondary teaching.
The Role – Maths Graduate / Maths Teaching Assistant
The successful Maths Graduate / Maths Teaching Assistant will support the Maths department across KS3 and KS4.
The Maths Graduate / Maths Teaching Assistant will:
- Support Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group Maths intervention.
- Support students with GCSE Maths content.
- Help students understand challenging mathematical concepts.
- Assist teachers during lessons.
- Support students with revision, homework and independent work.
- Help identify gaps in students' Maths knowledge.
- Build valuable classroom experience before teacher training.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Maths Graduate / Maths Teaching Assistant who has:
- A Maths-related degree with a 1st Class or 2:1 classification – essential.
- Strong academic results.
- Excellent Maths subject knowledge.
- Strong GCSE and A-Level grades.
- An interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with students.
- A reliable and professional approach.
- Previous tutoring or mentoring experience – desirable.
