The Role
As an English Academic Mentor, you will:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group academic support in English
- Work with students across KS3 and KS4, supporting reading, writing, comprehension and analytical skills
- Help students develop confidence and improve their academic progress
- Support pupils who may require additional intervention to reach their potential
- Work closely with English Teachers to identify areas for development and deliver effective interventions
- Build positive relationships with students and act as a motivating role model
- Contribute to a positive and aspirational school environment
Previous experience working with young people is highly desirable — tutoring, mentoring, classroom support, youth work or similar experience would be particularly advantageous.
