Graduate Teaching Assistant | South Woodford | October 2026

A welcoming 3-form entry primary school in South Woodford, catering for around 600 pupils from Nursery to Year 6, is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who wants to gain hands-on experience across a vibrant community primary school, while developing their understanding of teaching, learning and SEND.
Graduate Teaching Assistant - The Role:
- £90-£100 per day, depending on experience
- Monday-Friday, term-time only
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Opportunity to work closely with children with SEND
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support alongside class teachers
- Gain valuable experience before pursuing teacher training
- Potential opportunity to undertake school-based teacher training from September 2027
- Work within a welcoming and inclusive primary school community
- Access to dedicated sensory rooms and a sensory garden to support pupils with additional needs
The Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- A graduate with a genuine interest in education and working with children
- Passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their potential
- Patient, enthusiastic and confident working with young people
- Interested in gaining experience before pursuing teacher training
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
