Cover Supervisor | Brentwood | September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and resilient Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming Secondary School in Brentwood from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced education professional looking to gain hands-on classroom experience and develop their career in education.

About this Cover Supervisor role…
• Supervise whole classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their work.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide support and encouragement to students to help them achieve their academic potential.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the school's pastoral and leadership teams.
• Gain invaluable experience within a secondary school environment ahead of teacher training or a career in education.

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who…
• Has a 2:1 or First-Class degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Has experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, youth work, coaching, care or voluntary work.
• Is confident managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
• Is patient, proactive and able to build positive relationships with students.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is passionate about education and keen to develop a long-term career within schools.
• Can commit to working full-time from September and is available to trial immediately.
