Graduate Sports Assistant | Ealing | October Start

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Graduate Sports Assistant to join an outstanding school in Ealing, starting in October.

This is a three-part role for a Graduate Sports Assistant, offering an excellent opportunity to gain varied experience across different areas of an educational setting.

The Role

1. PE & Sports

You will work within the PE department, taking the lead in delivering a sport such as Hockey or Netball. Previous experience and confidence in one of these sports is therefore essential.

2. 1:1 Student Support

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with a physical disability. The role may involve some physical support, including lifting, so you must be comfortable with this aspect of the position.

3. Academic Support

You will also provide support across KS1 and KS2, assisting students in core subjects such as Maths and English. A strong understanding of these subjects and the ability to support pupils either individually or in small groups will be important.

The school offers excellent support to its staff and places a strong emphasis on building positive relationships with students to help them achieve their full potential.

This varied role would be particularly well suited to someone looking to gain valuable experience within a school before progressing into teacher training.

What You Will Need

To be considered for this Graduate Sports Assistant role, you will need:

• A Sports-related degree, achieving a 2:1 or above, from a Top 30 UK University.
• Experience or the ability to support a student 1:1 with a physical disability.
• Confidence supporting students 1:1 or in small groups across KS1/KS2 Maths or English.
• The ability to teach Hockey or Netball to classes.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
