Aspiring Speech & Language Therapist | Lewisham

Are you a graduate or aspiring Speech & Language Therapist looking to gain relevant experience working with children before pursuing further training? This opportunity in Lewisham provides the chance to work closely with pupils who require additional support with their speech, language and communication.

Working as an Aspiring Speech & Language Therapist, you will support pupils individually and in small groups, helping develop communication, listening, vocabulary and interaction skills. You will work alongside teachers and the wider SEN team, gaining a valuable understanding of how communication needs can affect children's learning and development.

Full Academic Year | £500–£550 per week

• Encouraging positive interaction and participation.
• Reinforcing communication strategies throughout the school day.
• Recording observations and sharing relevant feedback with teaching staff.

The successful Aspiring Speech & Language Therapist will:

• Have a degree or relevant academic background in Speech & Language Therapy, Linguistics, Psychology, Education or a related subject.
• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Have a genuine interest in Speech & Language Therapy.
• Be patient, observant and confident working with individual pupils.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be interested in pursuing a career as a Speech & Language Therapist.
