Aspiring Child Psychologist | Bromley

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful experience working with children before pursuing a career in Child Psychology or Educational Psychology? This opportunity in Bromley provides direct experience supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development within a school environment.

As an Aspiring Child Psychologist, you will work closely with pupils who may require additional support with their learning, behaviour, emotional regulation or social development. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral/SEN staff, developing a practical understanding of how children's individual needs can affect their education and wider development.

Full Academic Year | £500–£550 per week

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Supporting pupils who may experience difficulties with concentration, engagement or emotional regulation.
• Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils.
• Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff to reinforce individual support strategies.
• Observing pupil behaviour and providing appropriate feedback to relevant staff.

The successful Aspiring Child Psychologist will:

• Hold a 2:1 degree or above in Psychology or a closely related subject.
• Have strong A-Levels or equivalent academic qualifications.
• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Have a genuine interest in child development and Psychology.
• Be patient, empathetic and confident building professional relationships.
• Be considering a future career in Child Psychology, Educational Psychology or education.
• Have excellent communication and observation skills.
