Early Years Practitioner | Southwark

Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner looking to join a nurturing pre-prep school in Southwark? This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional to work within a well-established setting supporting young children through the early stages of their education.

The school is looking for an Early Years Practitioner with a minimum CACHE Level 3 qualification and at least 3 years' experience working within an Early Years or pre-prep setting. You will play an important role in creating a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where children can develop their confidence, independence and early learning skills.

Permanent | Pre-Prep School | £27,500–£32,500

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities and experiences.
• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities linked to the Early Years curriculum.
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Encouraging early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Observing children's development and contributing to accurate records and assessments.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Supporting children's independence, confidence and social skills.
• Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will:

• Hold a minimum CACHE Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant equivalent.
• Have at least 3 years' experience working within Early Years, nursery or pre-prep settings.
• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Be confident supporting children's learning and development across the Early Years.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to build positive relationships with young children and their families.
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Be enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing a high standard of care and education.
