SEN Teaching Assistant | Highams Park, Waltham Forest | Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking to gain valuable experience within a welcoming primary school? A highly inclusive primary school in Highams Park, Waltham Forest is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from an immediate start.

The school is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. With a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, progress and individual development, the school provides tailored support for children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs and learning difficulties. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access learning and build confidence.

The Role

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN across the primary age range. You will help children engage with lessons, implement individual support strategies and work alongside teachers to overcome barriers to learning.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a 2:1 degree or above from a leading UK university
• Has previous experience working with children through tutoring, mentoring, coaching or care
• Demonstrates patience, resilience and excellent communication skills
• Has a genuine interest in SEN and supporting children's development
