Cover Supervisor Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons across Years 7–11, ensuring students complete the work provided by their teachers.

• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.

• Encourage students to remain focused, engaged and motivated.

• Provide additional classroom support when cover is not required.

• Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.

The Ideal Cover Supervisor

• A degree, ideally with a minimum 2:1 classification.

• Strong academic results, including good GCSEs and ideally strong A-Levels.

• Confidence managing a classroom and communicating with young people.

• A genuine interest in education and student development.

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.

• An ambition to pursue teacher training, potentially in September 2027.
