Maths ECT | Havering | September 2025
An ambitious and supportive secondary school in Havering is looking for a Maths ECT to join their team from September 2025.
This Maths ECT role is ideal for someone who enjoys making Maths accessible and engaging while developing their teaching practice with the help of a dedicated mentor.
Maths ECT – Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity for KS5
- Develop students’ numeracy, problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Engage in regular professional development and mentoring
- Support enrichment clubs such as Maths Challenge or STEM
What We’re Looking For:
- UK QTS (or working towards it by July 2025)
- A Maths or closely related degree
- Confident communication and effective behaviour management
- Growth mindset and passion for teaching Maths
