Responsibilities of the Head of Science:

  • Lead and manage the Science department, overseeing curriculum and assessment

  • Set high expectations for student progress and teaching standards

  • Provide support and development for Science teachers across the school

  • Collaborate with SLT to deliver whole-school priorities

  • Analyse data and intervene effectively to raise attainment

  • Ensure engaging and innovative teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Uphold the school’s ethos and promote high achievement in Science

Ideal Head of Science will:

  • Be an experienced Science Teacher ready to step up or an existing middle leader

  • Have a proven track record of strong student outcomes
