MORSE Graduate - What the Role Involves
This Academic Mentor role focuses on targeted subject-based support:
- Delivering one-to-one and small group academic mentoring in Maths and related subjects
- Designing and implementing intervention programmes to support student progress
- Tracking and monitoring pupil progress to inform teaching strategies
- Assisting in classroom behaviour management and pupil engagement
- Supporting planning and assessment activities under teacher guidance
- Developing skills towards formal teaching pathways and leadership opportunities
MORSE Graduate - What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate will hold a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university and possess relevant child-centred experience. Schools seek proactive, compassionate, and committed individuals with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting. Please note applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Salary and Contract Info
- Academic Mentor roles: £450–£530 per week, pro rata to term time only
- Contract: Full-time, long-term (September–July), term-time only
- Potential for future teacher training or contract extensions following a successful placement
