Art Tutor – West London – September 2025 Start (4-Day Week – Wellness Wednesdays)

A rewarding opportunity has become available for a creative and committed Art Tutor to join a forward-thinking sixth form college in West London, beginning September 2025. This role offers a 4-day working week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), with Wellness Wednesdays off to support staff wellbeing and work-life balance.

This is a fantastic chance to work closely with students across Level 1 to Level 3 Art & Design qualifications, offering both academic and studio-based support. The college prides itself on its inclusive, student-focused environment, where artistic expression and progression are actively encouraged.

Why apply for this Art Tutor role?

  • Enjoy a 4-day work week with Wednesdays dedicated to wellness and personal time

  • Full academic year placement supporting creative learners in a sixth form setting

  • Work with students across BTEC and UAL Art & Design pathways

  • Support the delivery of both practical and theoretical units – from sketchbook development to final exhibitions

  • Foster student creativity through one-to-one support, workshops, and enrichment opportunities

  • Join a welcoming team of educators committed to inclusion, progression, and positive student outcomes

  • Contribute to a creative curriculum that encourages experimentation, independence, and personal voice

The ideal Art Tutor candidate:

  • Holds a degree in Fine Art, Illustration, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related creative discipline

  • Has experience supporting young people in educational or artistic settings (e.g. schools, studios, galleries)

  • Is confident supporting students with both technical and conceptual aspects of art and design

  • Brings excellent communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach to learning

  • Passionate about promoting creativity, inclusion, and personal growth through the arts

  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to helping students build strong portfolios and artistic identities
