Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: Full-Time | Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Hours: 08:30–15:45, Monday to Friday
Pay: £23,500 per annum (Pro Rata) – Inner London
Start Date: September 2025 or as soon as possible

A vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Wandsworth is searching for a Science Intervention Assistant to work closely with pupils and staff within the Science department. This Science Intervention Assistant role is perfect for a graduate with a strong science background looking to gain school-based experience ahead of a teaching career.
As a Science Intervention Assistant, you’ll support students across Biology, Chemistry and Physics – helping them understand key concepts, improve their grades and prepare for practical assessments. You’ll also get involved in setting up experiments and delivering engaging revision support.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group science interventions
- Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils in lessons and revision sessions
- Assisting with science practicals and preparing lab materials
- Working closely with teachers to plan and adapt support
- Encouraging independent study and scientific curiosity
We’re looking for:
- A degree in a science-related subject (2:1 or above)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
