Are you a History graduate looking to gain experience in education?
A well-regarded secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a History Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across the History department.
As a History Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with pupils in KS3 to KS5, providing classroom assistance, subject-specific intervention, and academic mentoring. You’ll also support learners with SEN, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in History lessons.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing in-class support in History lessons
- Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students
- Helping with lesson resources, planning, and marking
- Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds
This role is ideal for aspiring History teachers or those interested in supporting students in History.
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Mathematics or related field
- A genuine interest in education and social development
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Commitment from September 2025 to July 2026
