Would you like to support pupils in developing strong reading, writing and communication skills while gaining school-based experience?
Role: English Tutor
Location: Southwark, South London
Pay: £444 – £513 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract: Full-time, January start, 1-year contract (extension possible)
Visa: No visa sponsorship
This English Tutor position is ideal for a graduate interested in education, literacy or teaching.
English Tutor | The Role:
- Providing targeted English support to GCSE and A-Level students.
- Assisting pupils with reading comprehension, essay writing and exam preparation.
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups.
- Helping pupils build confidence in spoken and written English.
- Working closely with English teachers to support classroom learning.
English Tutor | Person Specification:
- A 1:1 or 2:1 degree in English or a related subject.
- A strong grasp of English Language and/or Literature.
- The ability to explain ideas clearly and adapt to different learners.
- A calm, supportive and reliable approach.
