Linguistics Graduate | What we’re looking for

An exceptional First-Class Linguistics Graduate will join us as a Speech and Language Assistant in Redbridge, starting immediately and continuing through July 2025. You’ll provide valuable 1:1 support to pupils with Speech and Language needs.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Compensation: £444+ per week, paid on a PAYE basis, including holiday pay

  • Qualifications: Ideal for Linguistics graduates, though Psychology graduates will also be considered

  • Perfect for: Aspiring Speech and Language Therapists seeking hands-on experience in a supportive school environment

Linguistics Graduate | Key Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with pupils across Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, supporting their development through engaging 1:1 sessions while collaborating with the school’s SENCO to ensure a nurturing environment.

  • Providing targeted support for pupils with speech and language needs in Reception–Year 2

  • Delivering tailored sessions to improve language comprehension, sound articulation, and active listening

  • Assisting children with behavioural, emotional, social, and medical needs

  • Working alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapist one day per week

  • Making a positive impact on children’s communication skills
