Autism Support Assistant | Kensington & Chelsea | February 2026 Start
£110 – £120 per day (term-time only | approx. £21,450 – £23,400 per year | FTE approx. £28,600 – £31,200)
Are you a passionate Autism Support Assistant looking to make a genuine difference? Autism Support Assistant Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions to students with ASC

Support communication, emotional regulation and social interaction

Work closely within a tutor group to build trust, consistency and positive routines

Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists and senior leaders to implement personalised strategies

Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive

Promote independence, confidence and resilience through structured support
Autism Support Assistant Requirements

Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or neurodiverse needs
-
A calm, resilient and proactive approach

Strong communication skills and confidence following structured interventions

Understanding of sensory needs and emotional regulation strategies

Psychology, education, youth work or therapy background is desirable (not essential)
