About the Opportunity
A well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher or an experienced Design & Technology Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced Design & Technology department.
The Role
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5 depending on your specialism.
This Design & Technology Teacher role includes:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons
- Teaching across specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Food Technology
- Promoting creativity, problem-solving and technical skills
- Preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level DT courses
- Ensuring a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a Design & Technology Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
- Has a degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
- Has strong subject knowledge in one or more DT specialisms
- Is passionate about practical and creative education
- Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
