A high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint an engaging and knowledgeable Politics Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Politics Teacher to join a thriving sixth form and inspire students to engage with current affairs and political debate.

The Role

As a Politics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons at Key Stage 5, with potential opportunities to contribute to related subjects within the Humanities or Social Sciences department. The successful Politics Teacher will inspire students to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills.

Key responsibilities for this Politics Teacher role include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Politics lessons
• Teaching A-Level Politics
• Supporting students with essay writing, exam technique, and independent research
• Encouraging discussion, debate, and engagement with contemporary political issues
• Assessing and monitoring student progress effectively
• Contributing to enrichment activities such as debate clubs, mock elections, or guest speaker events
