A high-achieving secondary school in Enfield is seeking a talented and committed Maths Teacher to join their well-established Mathematics department from September 2026. This is a contractual Maths Teacher role on a term-time basis within a school rated Good by Ofsted, known for its rigorous academic culture, collaborative department, and genuine investment in the practitioners it works with.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver precise, well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, using assessment data to track progress and close gaps in understanding. You will contribute to departmental planning, support intervention and enrichment programmes, and build strong, trusted relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues throughout the year.

 

What the School is Looking For

This Maths Teacher position will suit candidates who:

  • Hold British QTS or are completing a UK-accredited teacher training programme
  • Graduated with a 2:1 or above in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from a reputable UK university, ideally Russell Group
  • Have meaningful classroom experience within a UK secondary school through placements or a substantive post
  • Show clear evidence of structured lesson delivery and measurable pupil progress
  • Are legally entitled to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available

 

ECT applicants are welcomed provided formal UK teacher training has been completed.

 

Salary & Contract

This is a term-time contractual role equivalent to the Outer London pay scale. Salaries range from £37,870 (M1) to £56,154 (UPS3), with daily rates ranging from £194.21 to £287.97 inclusive of holiday pay. Placement on the scale is commensurate with experience.
